ABOUT ICONIC QUILTS

I have been crafting and sewing since a young child, my first real project was a teddy bear over the summer holidays. Never tell your mum you are bored! However, this brought me to my joy of sewing and I will always be grateful to my mum.

I fell in love with patchwork and quilting when I first moved to Devon and took a beginners course at my local quilt shop. I was hooked right from that first class, loving the symmetry, precision and maths. I know maths is not for everyone but being an ex accountant, I love anything with numbers.

Many courses later, swaps with fellow quilters, retreats and many gifted quilts for weddings and new babies (large number of nieces and nephews!. I decided I would like to incorporate my love of  designing and Art Deco into quilts and so Iconic Quilts was born.
